Christ is risen, and Hades is cast down! Christ is risen, and the demons have fallen! Christ is risen, and the angels rejoice! Christ is risen, and life reigns! Christ is risen, and not one dead remains in the tomb! For Christ, being raised from the dead, has become the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.
The council of the Jews is gathered to deliver the Maker and Creator of all to Pilate. O lawless ones, O faithless ones! For they prepare for judgment Him who comes to judge the living and the dead; they prepare for suffering Him who heals our passions. O long-suffering Lord, great is Your mercy; glory to You.
God is the Lord and has revealed Himself to us; bind the festal sacrifice with branches, even unto the horns of the altar. Psalm 117:27
